The spring semester is a crucial semester for Leslie and William McMorrow Neighborhood Academic Initiative Scholars, for scholars entering their senior year of high school, it is a time where they get to make one of the biggest decisions of their life.  On hand to motivate those scholars to stay focused and to not fall into the trap of “senioritis” were NAI alums Jericho Flores-Vasquez, Nathaniel Nevels and Nathalye Lopez.  Their message was clear, have fun but prepare for the transition into college life.  It was an important message delivered to all the scholars and parents in attendance, even those that are a few years away from high school graduation.

The goal of the kickoff event is to make NAI students and parents aware of the many resources available to them as they navigate through the college admission process, from financial aid workshops to filling out acceptance packets.  NAI board member and USC alum Alysha Del Valle, was on hand to deliver words of encouragement to the parents and the NAI scholars in attendance.
