ABC News , Los Angeles affiliate KABC-TV, featured the USC Neighborhood Academic Initiative, noting that students who graduate from the competitive program and are accepted to USC receive a four-year scholarship. The program provides mentoring as well as morning and weekend classes.

“Really, it’s six days of school for seven years, from 6th to 12th grade,” said Kim Thomas-Barrios, the program’s director.

The program was also covered by Los Angeles Times and CBS News Los Angeles affiliate KCBS-TV in two stories (second link here).
