More than 500 construction job seekers attended the USC Village job fair on Saturday, June 7. The event–put on by non-profit employment organization, PV Jobs, and general contractors, Hathaway Dinwiddie– provided candidates with job readiness guidance and information on the construction union-rack process.
The new USC Village, due to be completed in 2017, will be the flagship residential community for USC undergraduates, combining academic, student housing, recreation and retail space. The job fair was for the construction portion of the project only. After construction is complete, a number of retail jobs will also be available.
