Black History Month closed in party style Friday, as university leaders and students converged on a sunny McCarthy Quad for food and music at the “Family Reunion” festival.
The event capped USC’s most vibrant celebration of Black History Month yet, a series of events focused on the joy, health and vitality of the Black experience.
President Carol L. Folt described February’s monthlong series as an opportunity to take on tough issues and move the university a little closer to justice, equality, fairness and kindness.
