The USC Civic Engagement tent hosted various educational program at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books on April 18 and 19, 2015.
Many programs which included robotics, “History in a Box”, Jester Has Lost His Jingle, and Mission Science are funded by the Good Neighbors Campaign, an annual employee giving campaign that raises more than $1.7 million that funds university community partnerships.
The USC Family of Schools Coloring Contest winners were recognized by USC President C. L. Nikias and Los Angeles Times CEO Austin Beutner at the festival’s opening ceremony.
A book drive was also held to supplement Family of Schools classroom libraries and for elementary school student’s personal collection.
