USC Auxiliary Services provided job opportunities to nearly 10,000 attendees at the fourth annual Power 106 All-Star Celebrity Basketball Game benefiting Homeboy Industries.
Homeboy Industries supports men and women who were formerly involved in gangs with free services and rehabilitation programs. It also operates social enterprises that serve as job-training sites, including Homeboy Bakery, Homeboy Silkscreen and Embroidery, Homegirl Café & Catering, Homeboy Diner at Los Angeles City Hall and a new food truck.
Radio personalities, NBA players and music celebrities took part in the sold-out event featuring a half-time performance by Ariana Grande at the Galen Center.
Visitors could learn about jobs available at Homeboy Industries and USC, the largest private employer in Los Angeles. The California Endowment offered health information, and voter registration booths were stationed near the Galen Center Hall of Fame.
A team of Auxiliary Services recruiters were on hand to answer questions about the employment application process and benefits.
“From hospitality and transportation to human resources and accounting, USC Auxiliary Services has career opportunities at all levels,” said Uchenna Nwude, senior human resources manager. “We are constantly looking for passionate individuals to join our Trojan Family.”
