USC’s Good Neighbors Campaign (GNC) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special recognition from the City Council on March 21. The event highlighted three decades of transformative impact, with GNC raising over $31 million since its launch in 1994 to support community programs around the Health Sciences and University Park campuses.
In 2024, GNC awarded $1 million in grants to 54 university-community partnerships, benefiting over 53,000 individuals. The campaign focuses on four key areas: education, health and wellness, sustainability, and workforce development, bringing real, lasting change in the lives of local residents. Powered by faculty and staff contributions, grants funded by GNC empower organizations across Los Angeles City Council Districts 1, 8, 9, 10, and 14
The recognition, initiated by Councilmember Price, also celebrated 71,400 volunteer hours contributed by USC faculty, staff, and students. The event served as a unifying message to inspire even greater collaboration and participation in the campaign.
