The goal of the USC Bridges Program is to provide technical assistance in order to build the capacity of small, minority, women, and veteran business owners to grow and expand their businesses that will lead to the creation and retention of jobs. The USC Bridges Program has been developed as a bundled training consisting of ten modular workshops held weekly totaling approximately 30 hours in the classroom, in addition to one-on-one business coaching. 

WHO SHOULD APPLY

  • ​Existing business owners in the industries of construction, manufacturing, retail, professional services
  • Minimum of 1 year in operations

  • Established Business Plan preferred​

  • Traditional “brick and mortar” or online businesses

PROGRAM BENEFITS

As a result of the training, Bridges graduates will:

  • Complete a 10-week specialized training program to build the capacity of disadvantaged businesses to grow and expand their capabilities to access new markets, and be prepared to secure and manage new contracting opportunities
  • Improve presentation skills to effectively communicate and present their 30 second business pitch

  • Receive support and guidance for developing a Strategic Business Growth Plan

  • Learn to better understand your business needs and gain the tools necessary to be better prepared for business growth and expanion opportunities

  • Be invited to attend private business matchmaking event offering contracting opportunities

  • Become a member of the Bridges Alumni Network
