After 'Cool Theatre Program
Several USC Neighborhood Outreach grants provided funds that allowed the 24th Street Theatre to convert a boarded-up building into a thriving arts center that has brought music, theatre, dance and visual arts to the local community since 1997.
In partnership with USC today, the 24th Street Theatre offers the After 'Cool Theatre Program, an after-school theatre arts enrichment program that uses theatre as a tool to emphasize the importance of higher education. Taught by USC School of Theatre students and 24th Street Theatre artists, the program focuses on third- to 12th-grade students and incorporates field trips, mentors and visits from guest artists specializing in different theatrical genres.
