Spirits in Action
The student-run Spirits in Action program pairs USC students with children with disabilities from the surrounding Los Angeles community. The Trojan mentors cultivate a yearlong partnership with their younger partners, culminating in Spirits in Action Day - a one-day track and field event that brings fun and games to more than 300 students with physical and mental disabilities each year.
This photo, taken at the 21st annual Spirits in Action Day on April 25, 2009, shows a group of USC student volunteer mentors with their guests gathered on the University Park campus’s McCarthy Quad.
