QuickSCience Challenge
QuikSCience is a partnership between the USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies and Quiksilver, Inc., to improve science education through students’ love of the ocean. The program’s annual QuikSCience Challenge, a team competition for middle- and high-school students, features an extended stay at the USC Wrigley Marine Science Center for the teams that win first and second place and — beginning in 2010 — a one-day trip to the island for every team that submits a complete project. In this photo, members of the 2010 student team from Santa Monica High School gather at the institute’s pier.
