Jesse A. Brewer Jr. Park
Established in 1998 and named in honor of a late Los Angeles Police Department deputy chief, the four-acre Jesse A. Brewer Jr. Park borders the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County on Vermont Avenue in Exposition Park. Engraved footprints of animals indigenous to California - including a coyote, a raccoon and a mountain lion - can be found throughout the park, leading to a "watering hole" at its center.
