Our Communities

USC School of Cinematic Arts professor Peter Exline and his wife, Mari, moved into their 1908 Craftsman home in January 2009. There’s a lot of work to do, he says, "but you are gaining a neighborhood, culture and adventure.”

Housing

As part of USC’s five-point plan to enhance the quality of life in the communities immediately surrounding the University Park and Health Sciences campuses, the USC Neighborhood Homeownership Program makes economic incentives available to all benefits-eligible employees who purchase and occupy homes in the vicinity of the two campuses. The program is designed to help give employees at all levels the opportunity to purchase and own a home as well as to enhance neighborhood diversity, stability and sense of community.
